![]() ![]() This thread will be the ONLY exception, but don't be surprised if nobody answers. Instead of having all of these useless threads that get no replies, we ask people to post requests in the request thread instead, so the forum looks cleaner. People used to post threads with requests all the time and they'd get ignored. The URL for the request threads got changed, so some of the older posts linking to the request thread will give you an error. Also I visited a few topics where mods had posted a link to these request topics, but the links didn't work so I don't really even know what would be an appropriate existing topic to post this. This might get redirected to some request topic, but I feel like topics where they collect general ideas are bad in the sense that individual ideas often get very little attention. ![]() I'm a bit worried about R*'s anti-mod methods for Online though. NPC survivors that could either be killed and looted or recruited to help you Duke O' Death as a legendary rare vehicle of sorts(because it's pretty much based on Mad Max which is a post-apocalyptic movie franchise) limited weapon carrying(for example a primary weapon and secondary weapon type of system+a few grenades) and the ability to store items in car trunks and other stashes, backpacks? vehicles take much longer to despawn or if possible won't despawn at all(except when destroyed) ability to form groups with people during sessions similarly to posses in red dead some fictional drug as a collectible, like something really really unhealthy and desperate that they only came up with after the apocalypse, because why not limited map and minimap functionality(maybe minimap removed entirely or a similar limited visibility system to deathmatches) new post-apocalyptic themed vehicles, vehicle mods, weapons and clothes ![]() beater cars would be common(make beater versions for some cars that don't have one already) spare parts would be collectibles that you can use to modify and repair vehicles(exploded vehicles couldn't be recovered) weapon attachments would be collectibles as well certain vehicles should be more rare(for example high end, military and maybe electric/hybrids, because they consume less gas) same goes for weapons ![]() a map extension mod would give more room for players to scavenge, some concepts being thrown here: vehicles would need gasoline to use, tanker trailers, jerry cans and vehicles could be filled and emptied, the amount of gas consumed would vary depending on the vehicle used, it would be a valuable resource that people would fight over+it would limit the usage of military vehicles that could be otherwise overpowered, vehicle ammo may be overkill a big penalty for death(basic example: all your stuff is lost and other players can loot you) no money, it's all about scavenging/fighting over gear and vehicles Here's a list of a few ideas I have(some of these are mods that could fit elsewhere too): Oh and obviously this is for when the game comes out on PC. I'm not a huge fan of Arma 2 itself, because the game engine is kind of over-demanding and has stiff gameplay, but an online mode for GTA V where supplies and vehicles are sparse could be really neat. Perhaps something similar to what they've done with Arma 2 mods(wasteland/DayZ). We hope you enjoy your time here in this community.I think this is something a lot of people would like to play so I'm hoping to see people throw some ideas here, maybe I'll update the list below.
